DAY 4: Lesedi Cultural Village + Pretoria

  • Visit the Lesedi Cultural Village to be introduced into traditional communities, clothes, and lifestyles of the tribes of Africa. Enjoy an African group drumming class and a traditional African dance and drumming show
  • Visit Pretoria, the capital city of South Africa, also known as the Jacaranda City for all the purple blossom-bedecked trees lining its thoroughfares
  • Overnight Johannesburg

DAY 5: Johannesburg

  • Visit the Apartheid Museum - an interactive, multimedia museum dedicated to South Africa’s tumultuous past
  • Visit the Mandela House, the residence where Nelson Mandela lived from 1946 1962
  • Concert
  • Overnight Johannesburg

DAY 6: Maropeng + Johannesburg

  • Travel to Maropeng to visit the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site. This paleoanthropological site is understood to be the place from which humankind originated
  • Continue to the nearby Sterkfontein Caves and enjoy a guided tour of the caves, world-famous for their fossil finds
  • Return to Johannesburg
  • EXCHANGE CONCERT with a local ensemble (tbd)
  • Overnight Johannesburg

DAY 7: Pilanesberg Game Reserve

  • Travel to Pilanesberg
  • Check into accommodations
  • Enjoy a sunset game drive safari in the Pilanesberg National Game Reserve, which features a wide range of game animals, flora and fauna, including the Big 5 - lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo’s and rhinoceros – and more than 360 species of birds
  • Overnight Pilanesberg

  • Depart from your hotel and begin your journey home
