  • Arrive in Edinburgh
  • Meet your KI Concerts tour manager
  • Enjoy an orientation tour of Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland
  • Check into hotel
  • Tour of St Giles' Cathedral with Rev. Aaron Janklow (own arrangements)
  • Dinner
  • Overnight Edinburgh

SUNDAY, JULY 14: EDINBURGH

  • Breakfast daily
  • Attend Sunday service at St Giles Cathedral (tbd)
  • Visit Edinburgh Castle, which has been the home to kings and queens for centuries. The castle, set in the heart of Scotland's capital city, dominates the town from Castle Rock where it is believed humans have gathered since the Iron Age (2nd century AD). View the Scottish Crown Jewels, the Royal Apartments and the National War Memorial of Scotland
  • Organ recital at St Giles Cathedral with organist Andrew Henderson (own arrangements)
  • Dinner on own
  • Overnight Edinburgh

MONDAY, JULY 15: EDINBURGH

  • Visit the National Museum of Scotland; Reformation exhibits with Revs. Janklow and Bartlett (own arrangements) and see the remaining exhibits at your leisure
  • Visit Greyfriars Church and cemetery (of Harry Potter fame) with Rev. Janklow (own arrangements)
  • Dinner on own
  • Overnight Edinburgh

TUESDAY, JULY 16: STIRLING

  • Transfer to Stirling
  • Visit Stirling Castle, a favorite residence of the Stewart kings and queens in ancient times
  • Visit the Wallace Monument, which is dedicated to Sir William Wallace, a leader for Scottish Independence in the 13th and 14th centuries
  • Check into hotel
  • Dinner
  • Overnight Stirling

WEDNESDAY, JULY 17: OBAN | ISLE OF MULL

  • Travel to the seaside town of Oban
  • Introduction to Early Christianity with Rev. Bartlett (own arrangements)
  • Visit Oban's historic Scotch distillery
  • Lunch perhaps at one of Oban's famous Fish & Chips or Seafood Huts (own arrangements)
  • Transfer by ferry to the Isle of Mull, the second largest island on the Inner Hebrides
  • Check into hotel
  • Dinner
  • Overnight Isle of Mull

THURSDAY, JULY 18: IONA | ISLE OF MULL

  • Take the ferry to Iona, a tiny Island off the southwest coast of Mull only 2.5km wide and 5km long with a population of around 170 permanent residents. With a long history and known as the “Cradle of Christianity”, Iona Abbey is one of the oldest Christian religious centers in Europe
  • Attend service at Iona Abbey (tbd)
  • Tour Iona Abbey Church and Iona Abbey Museum with Rev. Bartlett (own arrangements)
  • Optional walk to White Beach on the North End
  • Lunch
  • Tour Iona Nunnery Ruins with Rev. Bartlett (own arrangements)
  • Return to the Isle of Mull
  • Dinner
  • Overnight Isle of Mull

FRIDAY, JULY 19: ISLE OF MULL OR IONA

  • Optional excursions (some of which will attract an additional charge) might include:
      • Iona hike with Rev. Bartlett with possible destinations of St. Columba's Bay, Machair, or Dun I (own arrangements)
      • Tour Tobermory with its fascinating wildlife
      • Tobermory Distillery Whiskey and Gin Tasting with Dr. Henderson (own arrangements)
      • Boat trip to Staffa to see puffins, seals, whales, and dolphins (own arrangements)
      • Or explore Tobermory at your leisure
  • Dinner
  • Overnight Isle of Mull

SATURDAY, JULY 20: GLASGOW

  • Take the ferry to Oban
  • Continue to Glasgow, Scotland's largest city
  • Visit the Glasgow Cathedral, which is a rare example of an almost complete 13th-century church and tour other pilgrimage sites
  • Lunch
  • Enjoy a guided tour of Glasgow, considered a national cultural hub and home to institutions such as the Scottish Opera, the Scottish Ballet and the National Theatre of Scotland
  • Option to visit the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum to see paintings such as Salvador Dali's Christ of St John of the Cross and MacKinnon Collection
  • Check into hotel
  • Farewell dinner
  • Overnight Glasgow

SUNDAY, JULY 21: DEPART

  • Attend service at Glasgow Cathedral – subject to timing
  • Transfer to the airport to begin your journey home

Prices will be locked in for travelers’ peace of mind two weeks prior to the first payment date to account for potential fluctuations in fuel surcharges and currency exchange rates. While KI strives to minimize the impact of such fluctuations on participant costs, we know travelers will highly value knowing the price is guaranteed prior to embarking on the payment plan. Two weeks prior to the first payment date, KI will reach out to reconfirm the tour price and the start of registration.
