Dear Friends,

I am pleased to invite you to join me in beautiful Italy—a land blessed by breathtaking natural beauty, profoundly rich cultural history, and passionate people who enjoy life to the fullest. The festival will take place in Rome, one of the most magical cities on earth, home to St. Peter’s Basilica, the Coliseum, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon…not to mention the best gelato, pasta, pizza, and pesto in the world!

And best of all, we will come together to make music there!

The combined Festival Band will hold three rehearsals for our final gala concert celebration in Rome. In addition, each participating band will be offered opportunities to break away for individual concerts in Rome and other Italian cities.

The proposed venue for the gala concert is the piazza in front of the summer palace of the popes, providing a grand backdrop for audience and musicians alike. The acoustics will suit the sound of a massed concert band and I know each musician will leave the festival more inspired and more aware of the power of their music.

You will love working with KI!

The last festival I led in Italy with KI was an astounding success with one of the warmest international audiences any of us had ever experienced. I know that the 2026 Festival will exceed even this triumph.

Looking forward to seeing you in Italy, and making music together.

With great anticipation,

Frank Ticheli
