Learn capoeira, a Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance, acrobatics, and music, at a workshop

Discover the historical significance of the annual carnival celebration, try on one of the carnival costumes, and see some of the elaborate floats at one of the city's samba school production sites in the Cidade do Samba complex

Take a two-stage cable car to Sugarloaf Mountain to see stunning views of the city and the bay

DAY 6: Rio de Janeiro
Depart Rio today to travel to Petropolis, the summer residence of Brazilian Emperors and aristocrats in the 19th century, in the forested mountain region outside the city
Visit the Imperial Museum and the Cathedral.

Leave Rio and drive to Paraty, a charming historical town on the coast of the state of Rio de Janeiro
