  • Arrive Munich
  • Meet your KI Concerts tour manager
  • Travel to the Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria
  • Embark on a guided walking tour of the ultimate fairy-tale castle, Neuschwanstein Castle, the inspiration for Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty castle. Neuschwanstein was dreamed up by "Mad" King Ludwig and built in the honor of his close friend, composer Richard Wagner
  • Enjoy time to stroll around this fairy tale castle
  • Transfer to Salzburg
  • Check into hotel

THURSDAY, JUNE 26: SOUND OF MUSIC | SALZBURG

  • Breakfast daily
  • Start the day as if on a movie set enjoying the Sound of Music tour. Relive some of the most poignant moments of the movie, perhaps singing ‘Do-Re-Mi’ in the Mirabell Gardens or ‘16 going on 17’ around the Gazebo, and visit the Mondsee Kirche where the Von Trapp wedding took place. Nonnberg Abbey and St. Gilgen are among the other of the Sound of Music sights we see
  • Enjoy a guided walking tour of Salzburg taking in the sights of the former principality Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in with a visit to his birthplace (seeing the violin he played when living there)

FRIDAY, JUNE 27: ALTÖTTING

  • Travel to Altötting, the spiritual centre of Bavaria, visited by Pope John Paul II in 1980 and Pope Benedict XVI in 2006

SATURDAY, JUNE 28: MELK | VIENNA

  • Travel to Melk for a guided visit of the exquisite Benedictine Abbey overlooking the Danube River. The Abbey boasts magnificent baroque facade and an extensive library of manuscripts
  • Informal performance in the Melk Abbey chapel (tbd)
  • Sail on the Danube River to Krems
  • Continue to Vienna, a city of imperial grandeur
  • Check into hotel

SUNDAY, JUNE 29: VIENNA

  • Enjoy a tour of Vienna seeing the iconic sights, traveling the Ring Avenue, passing by the Hofburg Palace, the Opera House, Peterskirche, Mozart’s “Figaro House”, City Hall and St Stephen’s Cathedral
  • Tour the Central Cemetery (housing honorary tombs of famous composers like Beethoven, Gluck, Schubert, Johann Strauss - father and son and Brahms amongst others)

The indicative prices above are accurate at the time of quoting (February 13, 2024). Prices will be locked in for travelers’ peace of mind two weeks prior to the first payment date to account for potential fluctuations in fuel surcharges and currency exchange rates. While KI strives to minimize the impact of such fluctuations on participant costs, we know travelers will highly value knowing the price is guaranteed prior to embarking on the payment plan. Two weeks prior to the first payment date, KI will reach out to reconfirm the tour price and the start of registration.
